So, I have joined some mailing lists that can help alert me to the ongoings of my current home state. Before, I was struggling to get out of my mental health slump, something that is still a work in progress. I seek therapy for a reason because I am well aware I am far from the most “put-together” person out there. I am transparent about this because of trying to be authentic, not because I have it the worse (I know there is worse).

Which Is My Country: On Rittenhouse, and Gaming Community Response

To say yesterday was spent mostly in depression and not being productive at all at work is an understatement. I was not alone, either, not even in the workplace. The songs, This Is America by Childish Gambino and Prathet Ku Mee (My Country Has) by Thai Rap Against Dictatorship, have been randomly popping in my head.

June 2021 Update: ALA Virtual, Family Moving Woes

Here is another update, everyone! I did say I am going to try harder to keep up with the blog activity.

First, I added a new story called A “Tribal” Look: What Does That Really Mean? It is not a unique critique or discussion, really, but it feels like it has not been had enough. In an ideal world, I would not want it to happen. Yet, some of the same stereotypes in pop-culture, media, and video gaming seem still perpetuated. I promise anything negative said in here is said with love and a place of hoping to increase understanding on a topic!
