I am looking forward to May 28, 2021, because I will be privileged (in more way than one) to be listening to two people I learn much from in my antiracist work (in progress): Sangeetha Thanapal and Dr. Kevin Nadal. Sangeetha Thanapal coined the term “Chinese Privilege” and has helped me really learn my privilege within some of my marginal identities.

Why I Play Less: Reflecting on the Patriot Act’s Dark Side of the Gaming Industry

Lately, I have been watching Patriot Act on Netflix. I am hooked. Truly, it is refreshing to have a show that is both witty and addresses serious, intense topics; social issues people do not always discuss as much as they should. The fact more Asian Americans, especially South and Southeast Asians, are speaking up and having representation, is also wonderful.
